I created this recipe after chatting with some friends about a fig and goat cheese burger. I couldn’t stop thinking about this recipe and how it would work out. It was such a hit, I had to share it with everyone!

Creamy and sweet with just a hint of spice, these poppers will guarantee a success with any crowd.
Preheat Oven to 405 degrees Fahrenheit.
Cut the tops off your jalapeños. Cut in half lengthwise, take a spoon and pull the seeds out from the center.
Fill your jalapeño crevices with your herbed goat cheese. After you have them filled, spoon some fig jam over the goat cheese.
Wrap your filled jalapeños with a whole strip of bacon. I like to start from the top and work my way down to the bottom, this way the end of my bacon is on under the popper.
Place your poppers onto an oven-safe rack on top of a sheet pan. This helps circulate airflow and provides the bacon with a crisp exterior.
Evenly sprinkle brown sugar and black pepper on top of the jalapeño poppers.
Bake at 405 for 25 minutes, or until the bacon is crispy and the brown sugar is caramelized. Serve immediately.
